2010 Here We Come!

Here are the updated plans for our 2010 Card Swap.

This year’s card swap will be themed around the holidays. Since you probably don’t have a purpose for 12 Easter cards, keep in mind that you could always make a spring card or a thank you card that has to do with Easter.Something that people could put to use or you can just do a Happy Easter card too.

So, some of the dates will be a bit “off” to accommodate the holidays. We average about one swap every other month, but I adjusted deadlines to make sure that you would get the cards before the holiday in case you wanted to put them to good use. So there are some times where we have cards due one month apart. If you plan ahead, it shouldn’t be too difficult to stay on top of the dates.

2010 Schedule, Holiday- P- Postmarked Deadline (K- Cards Leave Katie’s Before)

  • Valentines – P 01/15 (K 02/01)** NOTE- this is in a little over two weeks- sorry :-s
  • Easter- P 03/01 (K 03/15)
  • Mothers Day OR Fathers Day, you pick!- P 04/01 (K 04/15)
  • 4th of July- P 05/15 (K 06/01)
  • Halloween- P 09/01 (K 09/15)
  • Thanksgiving- P 10/01 (K 10/15)
  • Christmas- P 11/01 (K 11/15)

Deadlines are SET IN STONE. If you don’t make them, don’t be surprised when your cards arrive back at your home with a little note reading “return to sender.” It’s also possible that if we do have flakes, then the ontimers might get back extra copies of their cards that didn’t get sent out. That being said, if something comes up, please let me know ASAP. I will email you once I put them in the mail so you can start to watch for them. (You might want to do the same when you send them to me to make sure that I get them.) (Texting works too ) You can also send them early…

Our count as of today is 12. So, if no one backs out, you should make 12 cards and send them to me (13 if you want to keep one of your own). If numbers change I will make an effort to let you know as soon as I can. Send them to me with a SASE that will fit and cover all of your cards or drop them at my house.

As for the blog, I will try to get cards posted to them as they arrive (within reason). Keep your eyes peeled and feel free to make comments and tell us more about your cards.

Let me know any comments, questions or concerns. Please let me know if you are still going to participate. If I hear nothing from you, I’ll take that as a, “Katie, you’re crazy and I’m not working with you anymore!” Happy Carding!
